Job summary

Community Partners in Action is seeking a part-time Human Services Worker for the Hartford Transitional House in Hartford, CT. The role supports residents with structured, supervised housing, crisis intervention, and linkage to services.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma/GED and may hold an associate or bachelor's degree. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred, with weekend and holiday hours as needed. CPA offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior experience in human services with justice-involved clients is preferred.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities in compliance with program policies.
• Advocate for all participants to encourage participation and accountability.
• Mediate resident conflicts to resolve issues in a solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, volunteers, families, and providers.
• Follow agency policies and maintain a professional image when interacting with staff and residents.
