Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. invites applications for a Human Services Worker to support residents at Hartford Transitional Housing in Hartford, CT. The role emphasizes safety, advocacy, and structured resident activities to foster positive change.

The candidate should have a HS diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred), be able to work weekends/holidays, and hold a CT driver’s license with reliable transportation. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities in a safe, policy-compliant environment.
• Advocate for participants to encourage participation and accountability.
• Mediate resident conflicts in a solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors at all times.
• Uphold professional conduct and ethics; present a positive image when interacting with staff and residents.
• Promote respect, belonging, and elimination of unconscious bias within programs.
• Assist with meeting resident needs as appropriate.
• Know and implement agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
