Job summary

UMH Properties, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance staff member for the Wellington Estates Community. The role covers groundskeeping, maintenance, and repairs to all community-owned homes and lots, while upholding UMH standards for professionalism, quality and safety.

Duties include inspecting common areas, repairing homes, mowing lawns, snow plowing, operating tools, and keeping logs of work performed. Overtime, weekend hours, and in-person attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Broad range of experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and operation of heavy equipment.
• Snow plow experience.
• Ability to prioritize safety and attend periodic trainings.

Responsibilities

• Drive UMH vehicles to inspect common areas.
• Repair and maintain community-owned homes and lots.
• Mow lawns, weed-eat, remove leaves and debris, plow snow.
• Keep work areas clean and safe and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Operate power tools and equipment, follow lockout procedures.
• Communicate professionally with residents and coworkers.
