PTSMC Groton is seeking a Part-Time Patient Services Coordinator to support our patient-centered care at the Groton clinic. You will greet patients, check them in and out, schedule appointments, and assist with registration and insurance forms, working closely with clinicians to keep the front desk running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Comfort using computers and learning new software systems
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Professional, positive and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with professionalism and discretion
• Previous physical therapy or healthcare work experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Check patients in and out of their appointments
• Answer and appropriately route incoming phone calls
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Assist patients with registration, intake, and insurance forms
• Verify and maintain accurate patient information
• Enter and update patient information in our EMR system
• Collect copayments and other patient payments
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, paperwork, and general questions
• Work closely with physical therapists and other clinic staff to support a smooth patient experience
• Maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front desk environment
