Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of UnitedHealth Group, is hiring an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Groton, CT for a full-time schedule (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri 8am–6pm with rotating Saturdays). You will greet patients, verify information, manage insurance data, schedule visits, and support clinicians using the EHR system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license.
• Preferred: receptionist experience in a healthcare setting.
• Preferred: experience with an electronic health record (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and conduct check-in.
• Collect or verify demographic information and load/update insurance details.
• Verify eligibility and flag appointments accordingly.
• Scan insurance cards and collect co-payments.
• Post payments and provide receipts; balance batches.
• Schedule appointments using guidelines and use the EHR to communicate with clinicians.
• Follow up on no-shows and outreach for chronic or preventive care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist teammates as needed.
