ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Groton, CT. The role is full-time (40 hours) Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM with rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM–noon; potential to float to nearby practices.

Office location: 495 Gold Star Highway, Groton, CT. The position supports front-desk operations, verifies demographic and insurance information, collects co-pays, and coordinates patient scheduling using the EHR system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and conduct check-in process.
• Load or update demographic information and insurance details.
• Verify eligibility and flag appointments accordingly.
• Handle co-pays and post payments in the PM system.
• Schedule appointments using approved guidelines and communicate with clinicians.
• Monitor reminders and follow up with no-shows for chronic or preventive care.
• Ensure documents and lab results are available in the EHR before visits.
