Job summary

Global Kids, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the Accounts Payable function in the Finance Department. This part-time role involves processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely payments while reporting to the Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with strong Excel skills and confidentiality. Part-time schedule is approximately 20–25 hours per week in New York, NY, with benefits including

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Prior office, administrative, data entry, or bookkeeping experience is preferred
• Experience with accounts payable is a plus
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Review invoices and expense documentation for accuracy and required approvals
• Verify account coding and supporting documentation before processing
• Enter vendor invoices into Ramp Bill Pay
• Record and apply payments in Sage Intacct
• Maintain organized vendor files and accounts payable records
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and internal controls
