Job summary

BD is seeking a Home-based PART-TIME Field Service Engineer with daily travel to customer sites in the Vermont Region. The role supports BD Pyxis systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities, performing remote and on-site service, preventive maintenance, and issue resolution.

Ideal candidates reside within 30 miles of the Burlington area, with up to 5% overnight travel and a valid driver’s license. Requires HS diploma and 3 years of hardware/software/IT experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of hardware/software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
• Computer electronics, Windows OS and network experience required.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis systems in the territory.
• Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues; own work orders.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program and support Sales/Implementation teams.
• Demonstrate problem-solving for hardware and software issues.
• Perform installations, in-servicing, repair, calibration, and general field service.
• Maintain inventory and follow policies for inventory controls.
• Continue training to advance technical skills and product knowledge.
