Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Pyxis dispensing devices across hospitals within a defined territory. The role is remote field-based with daily travel to customer sites; a BD vehicle is provided, and up to 5% overnight travel is possible with a valid driver’s license.

You will perform installations, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and on-site service while documenting activities and maintaining parts inventory. Immunizations are required and there is on-call availability.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 5-7 years of related technical experience with hardware/software/IT support.
CompTIA A+ Certification and Customer Support Certification required.
Ability to lift 70 pounds and maintain immunization proof as required.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive technical support for BD Pyxis systems, both remote and on-site.
Perform preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, calibrations, and training.
Maintain inventory of service parts and secure company assets.
Demonstrate troubleshooting for hardware and software issues and escalate when needed.
Engage in ongoing product training and adhere to Medical Device Reporting requirements.
