Job summary

BD is seeking a field-based technical support professional within the United States to service Pyxis automated dispensing systems. The role requires travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays, with responsibilities spanning hardware and software maintenance, installations, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of combined IT and device service experience, Windows and networking expertise, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma plus 3–5 years hardware, software and IT support experience.
24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS and networking.
CompTIA A+ Certification.
Medical device or electromechanical device service/repair experience.
Customer Support Certification.
Valid driver's license meeting safety standards.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs.
Perform installations, repairs, calibrations, and provide sales support.
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Manage company assets responsibly.
