Job summary

Becton Dickinson NA is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 to support BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across hospitals within the region. This remote field-based role travels daily to customer sites, with a company vehicle provided and a requirement of valid driver’s license.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, service delivery, and collaboration with Sales and Implementation teams. Ideal candidates reside within 30 miles of Tempe, AZ and are prepared for 5% overnight travel.

Qualifications

Associate degree or 3–5 years in related field.
3–5 years hardware/software/IT support experience.
24x7 on-call customer-facing field service experience required.
Good mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills required.
Must have Windows OS and networking experience.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site support for BD Pyxis systems in hospitals.
Respond to, diagnose, and resolve hardware/software issues; log activities.
Implement preventive maintenance and assist Sales/Implementation teams.
Provide timely field services: installations, servicing, calibration, and maintenance.
Maintain inventory and document field activity and expenses.
