Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking an enthusiastic substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis. The role requires a mature Christian faith and strong communication to create a safe, engaging learning environment.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement the LifeWise curriculum, maintain attendance and records, and work with teachers and volunteers to promote biblical education in the community.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records and provide records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
