Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis. You will implement the LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe classroom, and communicate with volunteers and the teacher to ensure smooth sessions.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate mature Christian faith and active church involvement aligned with our beliefs, serving as ambassadors within the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
