Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking compassionate substitute teachers who can teach LifeWise classes and represent the organization in the community. This position is part-time and hourly, ideal for someone actively engaged in a local church with a mature Christian faith.

Responsibilities include completing substitute teacher training, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, recording attendance, and communicating with teachers and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Must have mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
