The substitute supports teachers, completes training, maintains records, and communicates with volunteers. Sensitivity to student discipline and community representation are essential in this ambassador role.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and coordinate with volunteers.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
