Job summary

Principia College in Elsah, IL is seeking an Administrative Assistant for Events & Hospitality. This part-time role supports the guest house, events, and hospitality operations with a focus on guest experience and administrative excellence.

The position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and flexibility to support evenings, weekends, and peak campus events, including special blackout dates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative or customer service experience.
• Experience providing professional administrative, hospitality or office support in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative and hospitality contact for the Principia Guest House.
• Coordinate reservations, guest communications, confirmations, payments, and check-in/out.
• Ensure guest house readiness with housekeeping, supplies, and light housekeeping.
• Support billing, invoicing, and tracking of expenses for events and hospitality.
• Assist with event coordination and hosting as needed.
