Job summary

The Principia is seeking an Events Coordinator in Elsah, IL to plan, coordinate, and execute campus events, conferences, programs, and special gatherings. You will act as the primary liaison for sponsors and hosts, guiding event plans from concept to completion while ensuring exceptional service standards.

The role reports to the Manager of Events & Hospitality and collaborates with multiple campus departments, vendors, and external guests to deliver memorable experiences for students,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two to four years of experience in event planning, project coordination, hospitality, conference services, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Experience in higher education, hospitality, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the planning, coordination, and execution of campus events from concept through completion.
• Serves as the primary liaison for event sponsors and hosts.
• Coordinates logistics including catering, room setup, AV, transportation, and guest accommodations.
• Provides on-site event leadership and supervises student staff during events.
• Delivers a welcoming, professional experience for all visitors and campus partners.
