Job summary

Principia School and Principia College in Elsah, IL, seeks an Events Coordinator to manage campus events from concept to completion. You will plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, programs, and special gatherings, serving as liaison for sponsors and hosts and ensuring service standards are met.

The role reports to the Manager of Events & Hospitality, collaborates with multiple departments, and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in event planning, project coordination, hospitality, conference services, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Event Planning & Coordination: serve as primary contact for event sponsors, hosts, and campus partners.
• Logistics Management: coordinate catering, room setup, AV, transportation, and staffing.
• Event Execution: provide on-site leadership, direct staff, and troubleshoot issues.
• Hospitality & Guest Experience: arrange guest accommodations and ensure welcoming experience.
• Campus Tours & Community Engagement: conduct campus tours and coordinate outreach.
• Administrative Support & Assessment: maintain planning docs, reports, and post-event evaluations.
