Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification or obtained within 3 months.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; effective communication.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients and ensure the admitting process is efficient and compliant with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductibles.
• Enter demographics, insurance, and other data into the electronic health record (EHR).
• Handle time-of-service payments and/or past due balances at the time of appointment.
