Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and caring aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check-in to ensure efficient admitting.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information; collect copays and deductibles.
• Enter demographics, insurance and other data into the EHR and other systems.
• Copy/scan patient access materials into the correct location in the EHR.
