Job summary

The Receptionist greets patients and visitors at the Trinity Health clinic, providing a warm, professional welcome and guiding them through the front desk processes. You will manage patient flow, schedule appointments, handle phone calls, validate insurance eligibility, and enter demographics and insurance data in the electronic health record while collecting time-of-service payments when applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.
• Must embody Trinity Health mission, vision, and values in behavior and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; manage front desk responsibilities to maintain patient flow.
• Check-in patients and ensure admitting process is efficient and compliant with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductibles.
• Copy/scan patient materials into the electronic medical record.
