Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a Part-time Manager On Duty (MOD) to lead frontline operations in Memphis, TN. The MOD ensures safe, welcoming service and supports the branch team during shifts, addressing member needs and coordinating with leadership.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, promoting memberships, maintaining facility standards, and representing the YMCA at events. Certifications (CPR/First Aid) are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff direction to enhance member services and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Assist and direct welcome center during high-volume times to manage flow of members and guests.
• Oversee cleanliness and direct staffing to handle maintenance issues; perform hourly facility checks.
• Work with Membership and Wellness teams to complete shift duties.
• Interviews and tours prospective members; sells memberships; builds relationships; helps members connect with the YMCA.
