Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Manager on Duty (MOD) to welcome members, volunteers, and staff, and to oversee safety, conduct, and age-appropriateness during designated hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities include incident management, member engagement, reporting to leadership, and supporting program participants while maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school required.
• 3–6 months customer service, security, or supervision experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with people of all backgrounds; 18+.
• Working knowledge of computers and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document incidents and follow through on actions.
• Model member engagement and outstanding service.
• Report branch activities and member stories to leadership.
• Provide support to members and program participants.
• Conduct tours for prospective members.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities.
