Job summary

University Unions at UT Austin seeks a Building Attendant II - Part Time to keep our campus facilities clean, ready, and safe. The role covers general cleaning, floor care, restroom maintenance, and event room setups in multiple on-campus spaces.

Work is 19 hours per week with a fixed schedule on weekdays; reliability, teamwork, and ability to follow directions are essential. The position is on-site at UT Main Campus and supports a broad range of campus services.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production, or facilities maintenance.
• Experience following basic work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the area outside the facility remains neat and clean.
• Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and stripping and finishing floors.
• Clean, stock and maintain the male and female restrooms.
• Assist with room set-ups and breakdowns for special events.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash throughout the facility.
• Follow job requirements, and direction from building supervisors.
• Use proper cleaning materials, correctly operate janitorial equipment and adhering to required safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by the building supervisors.
