Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Building Attendant II - Facilities (Part time) to maintain the cleanliness of residence halls and UHD facilities on UT MAIN CAMPUS. This is a part-time role with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7 A.M.

to 3:30 P.M., totaling 16 hours per week, at a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, offices, dining halls, and kitchens; transporting trash and supplies; following university policies; and basic floor care.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, offices, residence halls, dining halls, and kitchens.
• Consistently transport trash and supplies between floors.
• Respond and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Dining policies, procedures, and work-related instructions from supervisors, team leaders, co-workers and residents.
• Remove trash from building and take to trash compactor outside.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets.
• Strip, mop, and wax floors.
• Move and arrange furniture.
