Longfellow Hotel in Portland, ME is seeking a reliable Line Cook to join our breakfast and lunch kitchen. This part-time role supports a fast-paced, guest-focused culinary team with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and presentation.

You will prepare and cook daily menus, stock stations, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely service while maintaining cleanliness and accurate food handling.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen or line cook experience preferred, especially in breakfast/brunch service.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily menus according to established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service begins.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed.
