Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a Part-Time Substitute Teacher who can demonstrate biblical knowledge and strong teaching abilities. The ideal candidate participates actively in a local church and communicates effectively with students, staff, and volunteers.

You will train as a substitute, deliver LifeWise lessons, maintain a safe classroom, keep attendance records, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers to support a positive learning environment in line with LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow LifeWise policies and student discipline procedures.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and with the teacher.
