Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to deliver LifeWise classes with biblical accuracy and compassionate instruction. The role requires strong communication, classroom management, and a heart for mentoring students within a church-centered environment.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement the LifeWise curriculum, maintain records, and represent LifeWise in the community as an ambassador.

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
