Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in classrooms with both churched and unchurched students. The ideal candidate is an active church member with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

You will complete initial training, use LifeWise materials, and maintain class records while fostering an engaging, redemptive classroom environment. Compliance with LifeWise policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience with students in school or church settings.
• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach using LifeWise curriculum and tailor as needed while staying redemptive in approach.
• Maintain attendance, health records, and class rosters; coordinate with school officials.
• Keep classroom orderly and well-maintained; follow emergency procedures.
• Engage with students to build relationships and pray for them regularly.
• Communicate with program director and school personnel; participate in open houses and outreach.
