Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share gospel-centered education with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a caring, perceptive teaching presence in the classroom.

Responsibilities include completing the certification, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining records, and engaging with the community and school staff to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize as needed
• Invest in building relationships with students and pray for them regularly
• Maintain an organized, clean classroom and manage rosters/attendance
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and the program director
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions
