Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a classroom, using LifeWise curriculum and strong teaching skills. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities who cares for children.

You will complete training, lead classes, build relationships with students, maintain attendance and records, and represent LifeWise in the community, always aligning with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum to students.
• Invest in relationships with students and maintain a redemptive classroom environment.
• Maintain attendance, class rosters and records for substitute teachers as needed.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director, promoting LifeWise mission.
