Job summary

Access Services is seeking part-time Behavior Support Specialist Contractors to support our intellectual disability and autism programs in Montgomery County, PA. The role involves assessments, development of behavior support and crisis intervention plans, and training staff to implement positive, least-restrictive supports.

Contractors will work across programs and locations, with a flexible schedule during standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.
• Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism.
• Must complete required trainings before contract start (ODP FBA Training).
• Independent contractors must maintain professional liability insurance ($1M per claim, $3M aggregate).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of behavior to design behavioral support plans.
• Collaborate with participants, family and team to develop behavior support plans with positive practices and least restrictive interventions.
• Develop individualized behavioral support plans aligned with participants' service plans.
• Develop crisis intervention plans.
• Complete and submit billable progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Train support staff to implement behavior supports with clinical integrity.
• Participate in ongoing supervision and monitor hours usage.
• Conduct ongoing assessment and data collection to quantify behavior changes.
• Adjust interventions based on assessment results.
• Perform functional behavioral assessments and design restrictive plans compliant with regulations.
