Job summary

Access Services is seeking a part-time Behavior Support Specialist Contractor to support our intellectual disability and autism programs across Easton, Allentown, and Bethlehem areas. You will conduct assessments, develop and update behavior support plans, and train direct support staff in positive practices and least restrictive interventions.

Responsibilities include creating crisis intervention plans, completing timely progress notes, and collaborating with families and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.
• Two years of experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism.
• PA Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearances required.
• Professional liability insurance for independent contractors required.
• Completion of ODP Functional Behavior Assessment Training before contract.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments and design behavior support plans.
• Collaborate with participants, families, and teams to develop positive plans.
• Develop crisis intervention plans and training for support staff.
• Submit progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Participate in supervision, ISP and quarterly meetings.
• Maintain consistent utilization of authorized hours and document data.
