Job summary

Access Services is seeking part-time Behavior Support Specialist Contractors to support intellectual disability and autism programs across Easton, Allentown, and Bethlehem areas. You will assess behavior, develop and update support plans, and train staff in positive practices and least restrictive interventions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years’ relevant experience, PA clearances, and professional liability insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field required.
• Two (2) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or autism diagnosis.
• PA Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearance results must be submitted.
• Prior to receiving a contract, candidates must complete the 13-hour ODP Functional Behavior Assessment Training.
• Independent 1099 contractors must maintain professional liability insurance with min. $1M per claim and $3M aggregate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of behavior and design behavioral support plans.
• Collaborate with participants, families, and service teams to develop behavior support plans.
• Develop crisis intervention plans and implement them.
• Complete and submit billable progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Provide training to support staff to ensure proper implementation of plans.
• Attend ISP and quarterly meetings and participate in ongoing supervision.
• Maintain consistent utilization of authorized hours and record data to quantify changes.
