Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate for our Youngstown, OH branch at 1083 N Meridian Rd.

You will support B2B sales, provide consultative service, build new partnerships, and grow an existing book of business by communicating the value of our inventory management solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on customer service, driving local sales calls, coordinating resources for customer needs, and contributing to branch success while working up to 28 hours per week in a MON-FRI

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with ability to meet driving record requirements for using a company vehicle.
• Experience or pursuing degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Aptitude for sales and a desire to sell.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrates core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam only).

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities.

• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals, and prospecting.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs.
