Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Charleston, IL is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to support B2B sales and customer service at our 1101 Loxa Rd branch. You will develop new partnerships and nurture existing ones using a consultative sales approach while representing our inventory management solutions.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid driver’s license with ability to meet driving requirements for a company vehicle
• Either a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate sales aptitude and customer service orientation
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Align with core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs (up to 75 lbs) when needed
• Pass drug screen where applicable

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities
• Providing value through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new relationships and growing existing ones from leads and referrals
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success
