Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to drive B2B sales and deliver excellent customer service at our Wilmington, DE branch. You’ll develop new partnerships and grow existing accounts through a consultative approach, supporting day-to-day branch operations and community engagement.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Prior sales or customer service experience is preferred; training is provided through the Fastenal

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet vehicle use requirements.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrates aptitude for sales and customer service.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Good organization, planning and prioritization.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making.
• Embodies Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity, teamwork.
• Lifting up to 75lbs and occasional driving to customer sites.
• Pass drug screen (US/territories as applicable) and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support B2B sales and customer service activities.
• Provide value via consultative sales approach.
• Develop new and grow existing customer relationships.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs.
• Perform local sales calls and drive company vehicle to customer sites.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
