Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor.

The role includes supervising store associates, processing directives, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Part-time schedule with opportunities to learn and grow within a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain fixture displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handle payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked store area and secure assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean and well-presented.
• Other duties as assigned.
