Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help manage daily activities, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, well-stocked store while maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.

The role emphasizes training and supervising Store Associates, upholding company policies, and meeting performance standards. Excellent communication and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, walking, bending, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with customer focus.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
