Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, strong communication, and the capacity to work in a high-energy, team environment. Part-time position with duties including opening/closing procedures and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store cleanliness and order.
