Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise, assist customers, and ensure smooth daily activities and procedures.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store environment while upholding company policies and providing a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays to promote promotions.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Keep sales floor and stockroom well organized and clean.
