Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise, and help oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store runs efficiently and safely.

You will lead and train Store Associates, maintain a clean and well-stocked sales floor, and uphold company policies while delivering friendly, professional service to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent movement is expected.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed, areas neat and presentable.
