Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. in West Covina, CA seeks a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 who will support the store leadership team to deliver the best customer experience.

You will train new recruits, manage daily operations, and help achieve sales goals while leveraging product knowledge and fandom expertise. You’ll open/close, work the register, and collaborate with HQ to monitor KPIs and keep the store organized and inviting for fans.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operations, and a drive to develop your peeps.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Step in and step up when needed; cover the sales floor and support management.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process sales and drive add-on sales with programs like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals, and key KPIs: UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture, & merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Maintain organized stock room and clean store appearance.
• Help develop and retain a collaborative team to run the store.
• Any other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.
