Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 who loves music and pop culture to support the store leadership team and deliver the best customer experience. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and help the management team meet sales targets.

You’ll cover the sales floor, assist with planograms, process transactions, and help keep the store organized. Bring strong communication, time management, and a drive to develop your team, while upholding store

Qualifications

Strong communication, time management, and professionalism.
Ability to manage daily operations and support the sales team.
Retail experience at least 1 year is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages repeat visits.
Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when the Manager is unavailable.
Open and close the store as needed.
Process sales transactions and drive add‑on sales with benefits like BOPIS or curbside.
Understand store sales goals and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
Assist with planogram changes and merchandising mix.
Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ Partners.
Maintain stock room and keep the store tidy.
Help develop a collaborative, passionate team to run the store.
