Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 in Los Angeles to support the store leadership team and ensure an outstanding customer experience for fellow fans seeking a wide range of music and pop culture merchandise.

You’ll train new recruits, help meet sales targets, and manage daily operations including opening/closing the store, cash handling, and communicating trends to HQ. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and a passion for the brand.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication, time management and professionalism.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages return customers.
• Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when the Manager is away.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process sales transactions and promote add-on sales (BOPIS, curbside).
• Understand store sales plan and KPIs (UPT, ADT).
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ.
• Maintain stock room and keep the store tidy.
• Develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
