Hot Topic in California is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 who loves music and pop culture to help lead the store and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You’ll train new recruits and support daily operations, helping the team meet sales targets while ensuring fans can access the merch they love.

You’ll open/close the store, assist on the floor, handle transactions, and drive add-on sales with perks like BOPIS or curbside pickup.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of retail store experience.
Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle merchandise daily.

Responsibilities

Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when needed.
Open and close the store, as required.
Process sales and drive add-on sales with benefits like BOPIS/curbside pickup.
Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals, and KPIs.
Assist with planogram changes including store map, wall, fixture & merchandising mix.
Communicate fashion & music trend information to management and HQ partners.
Ensure no misuse of spells and wizardry around theft.
Maintain stock room organization and store tidiness.
Help develop a collaborative team to run the store.
Any other activities as assigned by the Store Leader.
