Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 to support the store leadership team in delivering the best customer experience for fans of music and pop culture. You’ll train new recruits and help the management team meet sales targets while managing daily operations.

You’ll open and close the store, operate the register, and drive add-on sales using product knowledge and customer service. Collaboration with HQ is encouraged.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication, time management and leadership abilities.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience and train new recruits.
• Cover the sales floor and support management during peak times.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process transactions and drive add-on sales with knowledge of products.
• Understand store goals, KPIs and merchandising plans.
• Assist with planogram changes and stock organization.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ.
• Maintain security and stockroom organization.
• Support a collaborative team and store operations.
