Job summary

Cinemark is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee theatre operations and support the General Manager. You will be cross-trained across departments, train staff, and contribute to reports and standards to ensure a high-quality guest experience.

The role offers opportunities for progression through the Management Accreditation Program, with a path to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after six months of service. Strong leadership and guest-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Completion of three basic courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
• Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification.
• Management members who work with alcohol are required to complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required.
• Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
• Provides excellent guest service.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Ability to take and follow direction.
• Responds with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Must be able to resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager and supports decisions in staff communication.
• Works in all departments and theater job functions as needed.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their specific roles.
• Assists in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
• Observes and reports on building, property, and equipment conditions and needed repairs.
• Ensures Team Members follow the dress code and deliver superior customer service.
• Enforces Cinemark policies and safety guidelines with fairness and consistency.
• Reports employee relations issues through proper channels.
• Maintains high work ethic and conduct standards.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
