Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and developing a strong, passionate team. You’ll lead promotions, engage customers, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced mall store.

You will recruit, coach, and retain a collaborative team, drive inventory and merchandising initiatives, and partner with HQ to adapt to trends and feedback. Flexible, energetic leadership required.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, operations skills, and team development.
• High school diploma or GED is required (degree a plus).

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and comp sales goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Promote new products and drive customer engagement through promos, social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership to run an operationally sound store with balanced ops and customer-first selling.
• Monitor shrink, payroll hours, and associate scheduling.
• Collaborate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy toward targets.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos on time.
• Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team with the Store Manager.
