Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, increasing earnings across multiple sites.

The position requires armed certification in Texas, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. It includes training, safety protocols, and customer service responsibilities within a retail/venue setting.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, parking lots, loading zones, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation while maintaining professional communication with the public and Allied Universal leadership.
